올해 4월 발매된 peggy sue의 첫 정규앨범 [fossils and other phantoms]에서

너무 좋아하는 (거에 비하면 아는 건 별로 없는) 밴드 lali puna의 [our inventions]에서 몇 곡 듣고 있다.
작은 소리들로 촘촘하게 직조된 사운드가 점심식사의 헤비함을 깔끔하게 날려주신다.
trebelijahr의 목소리에서 처음으로 장필순을 떠올려 본다.

janelle monae의 [the archandroid] 앨범을 플레이하고 집을 나섰다.

첫 번째 곡이 시작할 때엔 '어디 한번 볼까' 싶었는데, 과연 놀랍다.
적어도 구성력 면에선 올해 이보다 더 나은 앨범은 나오기 힘들 것 같다.
퍼포먼스도 완전 예술.

언젠가부터 랩 음악을 듣는 비중이 줄어 들었지만 그래도 여전히 관심이 가는 이름이 몇 있다.

디트로이트 출신의 black milk는 잘 알려진 대로 지금은 고인이 된 전설적인 프로듀서 j.dilla의 유산을 물려받은 수많은 프로듀서 중에서도 단연 발군인데, 오는 7월 27일 새 앨범 [album of the year]를 발표할 예정이다. 프로듀서로서 더 유명하지만 괜찮은 랩퍼로서도 손색이 없다.

보컬인 matt beringer의 목소리에서 tindersticks의 stuart staples를 떠올렸다.
오랜만에 [curtains]를 찾아 들어야겠다고 생각했으나 그러지 않았다.
